HOW TO SEARCH
It’s possible to watch a film in Scotland in all sorts of places: in conventional cinemas, but also in village halls, libraries, visitor centres. And there are successful partnerships in communities ensuring movies can be watched in those places by audiences. So to offer an accurate picture, we’ve made a distinction between:
Venues – A physical location where public screenings can take place.
Exhibitors – Organisations that organise public screenings.
Screen Machine Locations – The communities Scotland’s mobile cinema tours to. We at Regional Screen Scotland own and operate the Screen Machine so if you’re looking for the latest on our screenings please go to our dedicated Screen Machine listings website: screenmachine.co.uk.
Sometimes one organisation can be both an Exhibitor and a Venue and sometimes Venues will host multiple Exhibitors at their address, like film festivals or film societies.
